We are members of a growing Evangelical Free Church of about 200 people in Northwest Iowa with a heart for reaching and discipling people.  We have a firm commitment to the priority of God’s Word in our teaching and preaching, a longstanding dedication to missions, a strong music program, and a healthy children’s ministry.  God has blessed us with a number of young faithful families and mature leaders who have a vision for outreach, discipleship, worship, service, and fellowship.  While building on the past 114 year history of our church, we are looking aggressively towards the future.

Albert City (pop. 700) is surrounded by a few larger towns and a significant rural population.  We consider our “Jerusalem” a 20-25 mile radius around our church.  This includes the towns of LaurensPocahontas (pop. 2200) and several others with minimal evangelical input.  We see a huge “redemptive potential” at our doorstep and so we are embarking on some bold initiatives to strengthen the body of Christ here and to reach the lost around us.  We are committed to expanding and developing our current small group ministry. Groups meet in various geographic regions of our ministry area and include a number of people who do not regularly attend church here. It is our desire to become more intentional within our small groups to actively participate in serving our church, community, and/or the world. Our two Sunday morning services enable us to accommodate an increasing number of guests.   As part of our vision for ministering to the youth and families in our area, we are seeking to fill the vacated position of Associate Pastor of Student Ministries.  It is our desire to have this position filled as soon as possible. While our top priority is to hire a youth pastor, it would be a plus to find someone who would also be able to give some direction to our worship/music ministry. We aren’t looking to fill two positions for the price of one. We want a student ministries person first and if they can serve in the worship area we would limit that time commitment and compensate them accordingly.
