1. Adult supervision: The driver should be in charge of the vehicle and the route, but someone else should supervise the passengers. There may be exceptions to this guideline on short trips with few passengers, but should generally be followed.
2. Reserving the Bus
a. Fill out a request form at the church office or on the church website at www.myfreechurch.com under “Resources”. The bus committee will be responsible at their discretion for handling these requests and scheduling trips. They will consider the length of the trip, size of the group, availability of a driver, etc. There must be over 15 people in a group to use the bus.
3. Trip expenses
a. Generally, the group organizing each trip is responsible for covering the cost of fuel, this amount will be communicated to the group by the bus committee upon approving their use of the bus. This amount may be built into the cost of the event the group is attending (Impact, Promise Keepers, ski trip, etc.) or collected as a suggested donation.
b. It is also recommended that they cover expenses the driver incurs (meals, lodging) if the driver would not have otherwise gone with the group on the trip.
